My choc lab has discovered how to open the fridge door. Yesterday while I was out he demolished a whole rocky road cheesecake, doz eggs, family sized pasta bake, ham, yoghurts, gammon steak. I restocked last night, wedged big plastic dog bed against the fridge door - failure - today he ate 28 rashers of bacon, 4 chicken breasts, packet of ham and a couple of creme caramels.

Childproof lock doesn't fit door so old fashioned method - piece of rope around the fridge and through the handle - very smart.

Funnily enough he left the out of date savour eggs.

Thought I'd better not check the list of unsafe foods - he's probably had the lot.:(

I've lost two blocks of cheddar in a week - funny how she'll take the cheese but not the open packet of chicken thighs?!

After much experimentation and a wasted fiver on a fridge lock, two strips of duct tape seems to do the trick. Fingers crossed...

I used to have a cat that opened the fridge - he would take the cheese and the cucumbers??!! - the dog would eat the rest!!! Child lock worked for mine - cat sat for weeks and screamed at the fridge!!!:D

Our cousin's Cocker Spaniel could open their fridge door. We gave them a 25lb weight to stick on the floor in front of it. Bit of a bind to move it, but saved untying knots all day.
