I was about to order a new thermatex but read that the sizings come up a bit large, so to order a size smaller than needed, is this true?

My old thermatex is huge and have no idea what size it is, have a mark todd coolex rug which is a 6ft which is ok on 3 of mine so was going to just get a 6ft one, but now wondering if I should get a size smaller?

Anyone help?!

Yep, definitely get a size smaller than usual. My mare is a good 6'3 normally and her 6' thermatex is slightly roomy.

if your horse is a narrow TB type id go down 2 sizes.....my boy is a 6'6 and i ordered a 6'3 but it still hangs off his bum!!! if he's a chunky chap then down one size should be fine.

his *field under rug thermatex* is a million years old but started off life as a..........5'6,thats how much they stretch!!!!!!

Definately go down at least 1 size.

Vinnie is a 7'3ft rug and his 7ft thermatex is huge on him- thankfully (at least in this respect!) he is still growing so i expect him to fit in it properly soon!

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but having had a thermatex and a coolex, I would not go back to having a thermatex - will always buy coolex in future.
