so, seeing as I won't be able to ride this bank holiday I was thinking of things we can do:

Learn to plait properly
Tail plaiting
Tack cleaning
Sort my tack trunk out

any others?

Clean tack ?
Pull and tidy mane (part of learning to plait properly I guess)
Have you got your trailer yet? If so test loading and unloading?
Bath if the weather is nice enough? Or a good going over with a flanel and bucket of hot water?
Jetwash and spring clean his stable.

Yes, good idea about the trailer.

I think I will bath him if the cuts not too bad - dreading seeing it when I go up to be honest....poor baby! xx

Still think partying the best option :-) sorry getting very nervous now, always do with first game of the season. Why not see how the weather is going and if it's nice take some really nice pictures of your boy. I always remember it's a good idea and forget to do it.

Cazza - you're making me feel a little strange! It will be the first time in 6 years that I won't be trying to cram everything into the lorry to leave

Have a great weekend and party extra hard for me!

Oh, and I heard rumours that Liscombe haven't joined the UKPA this year?

V - sorry to hijack post! Though I'd go with Cazza's first suggestion if I were you

Go to the Surrey county show and buy him a present? It's in Guildford.

Really really want to go but have a gig at 5pm so was going to squeeze local show in the morning and then gig in the arvo - I like leading a busy life

Crammed it all in this morning and last night, hubby left at noon with the lorry, I'm going down after work. No Liscombe haven't re-registered the club yet as far as I am aware. I'm playing for Kent this year. Although did feel really strange getting the horses ready to load and no Ghost, and I don't need to worry about them being close to where we are sleeping as none of the others snore as loudly as she did.

Is Ash playing for Kent too? I have to admit that if I play again next year I won't be playing for Centaur, and Kent will be my first port of call (if they'll have me!!). I played for them at the WD tournament last year and they made me so welcome, a much nicer bunch than some other clubs I can think of!
I hope your stand in steed helps fill the void left by Ghost. X

Have a mega poo pick & spray the weeds if you can keep the horses in a different field for a week or however long it says on the bottle?
