Things your horses have been described as

At my first yard the ladies who would sit around the table drinking tea stopped me once and asked what my old boy (rest his soul) was called. I replied Chanter they looked at each other and said 'told you it wasn't little f&*ker' that is literally all I called him for the first six month I owned him.

Albi is ginger tw%^ more often then not just because that is what he is. but then also mummies gorgeous boy.

Peanuts the pony is called princess, little one, or thug

Mine has been called "a little bit worried" by vet, farrier and instructor.

He is often referred to as "special" as he takes a while to work things out (while worrying about them), such as whether he is allowed to go into a new field when you have just opened the gate for him...

He also gets "bogwoppit" quite often, usually when he's being a pillock, which refers to his bog pony breeding in part.

His fieldmate is either named after a well known cough medicine which is a combination of his name and his owner's, or Bxxxx the Barsteward, if he's being horrid. Any of them are better than his registered name which is xxxx Nightmare so I don't suppose he cares. We also have a Welsh Section D on the yard who is the Ginger Ninja because she can move so fast, either for food or when spooking.

The Chiropractor said Daisy was like a dog yesterday, he meant it as a compliment so we took it as intended. She is very cuddly, calm and she's only 14hh and a bit so about wolf hound size :D

Little cob (who is in fact very smart looking when in work) cart horse/ gypsey pony etc
Big retired-a gormless mans hunter. (Again very smart in his day, shaggy/happy now!)
New boy, dog meat, kebab, glue, the list went on but you get the message 😢

I had a DWB, chestnut with flaxen mane and tail.

She was called The Dizzy Blonde because she would spin and make me dizzy.

She was speshul. If she wouldn't go past something for'ards, she'd fast go past it back'ards. Backed down a ditch once - I thought she'd reared until it registered both how steady we were and how close to the ground my feet were...

Miss her so bloody much, my dizzy blonde mare

Tequila has been for years affectionately described by my dad as 'pit pony', not sure, he just started and its stuck. And Tank is now lovingly known as 'donkey', he's a bit dopey in nature, despite being crazily clever, and super affectionate.

Granny was regularly called "dragon lady" by my instructor... occasionally "ooooo, you dragon!" Usually when he was having a pop on 😂

Most people who meet The Beast go "isn't she BIG" despite the fact she's probably only 16.1hh at most.

Things people have described/called my pony over the years -
Pocket rocket, 'on crack', a sprightly thing, still mad, rude, very sensitive and recently by the vet 'a grumpy madam' 😂
More complimentary 'a little star' 🙂 and she is!
My horse is still building her rep lol but I nickname her 'destructo-horse' as she has a habit of getting into everything and destroying it!

Oh I forgot the best one...

Arriving at a pleasure ride last year The Beast was called "a gobby bugger" .... 😂 She was just making sure everyone knew she'd arrived and it was time to get the party started!

When I first met the Appy she was called the funny splodgy coloured one. 3 yards on and Splodgy has stuck even though her real name is quite pretty :(:(

kira is called "princess" by all that know her where we go for training, because she is pink and a bit of a diva ;)

The way she comes in from the field caked in mud, she's the least princessy horse ever. Something about the dressage arena that brings it out in her )

Little cob (who is in fact very smart looking when in work) cart horse/ gypsey pony etc

An ex YO once said to me in frustration 'Why do you keep plaiting her mane and turning her out without a rug, it looks like I have a gypsy pony in my field!'

Erm, that'll be because she is actually a gypsy pony and is in your field

We didn't last long at that yard :D

Mine is called "Madam"(opinionated half Welsh mare who thinks she knows it all). My instructor actually convinced some kids that she was half cow (she's a mainly white coloured) and coined the name Cowpony.
