I'm on the hunt for dressage saddles for two of the horses, and a friend suggested getting a saddle with changeable gullets. Surely it's not that simple? One saddle, two gullets and both horses have a dressage saddle..

Could anyone explain them to me?

It is easy!! Just need a screwdriver and for the first couple of times you might need a friend to help but now I can easily change my gullets (horse likes to change shape...ALOT!!) alone and quickly. It's literally unscrewing 6 screws each side and popping out the gullet and replacing it. :D

It IS easy enough to do.... but....

Just because you can change the gullet to make the saddle the right width doesn't mean the saddle will fit both horses. It might need a bit of flocking here and there to fit the horses individually.

It is easy, but it is fiddly and takes a few minutes. I know that I for one would be too lazy to change it every day!!

Agreed. I know I'm perfectly happy to change mine every few months but as galaxy says I doubt I'd be chuffed at doing it more often for different horses.
