I want. Can we all save up and rescue him from a rider worse than death? This horse is seriously tolerant and makes a lovely shape too. Got sent this link to this vid from a friend, she told me its at the young horse champs in spain, if nayone can read the spanish would be appreciated!

WTF is he doing!?!

Portuguese not spanish
Something along the lines
" we guarantee that this animal felt only light back pain and the next day was in perfect condition to jump again"

Let's hope not with that rider.

Poor horse, looks quite tallented, shame his rider is quite the opposite. I agree he should have been pulled up ASAP. Bless that little horse trying to jump the red wall jump despite his rider being on his neck. And then to smack the poor thing!

VERY VERY honest horse

What an amazing horse for putting up with a rider like that and jumping those fences for him! How on earth did he get to that level of competition riding like that?!

My horse would have bucked him off so fast.

That guy would be better suited to a trials bike...if I'd been that horse he'd have been on the floor before the third jump. Poor thing, as if the judges just watched!!!

That's an interesting technique.

A bit like a heavyweight male version of Annette Lewis, jumping at Hickstead a la The Grand National !!!

Poor horse. If only it would dodge on landing and leave the rider sitting on his arse on the floor !!!

How he managed not to fall off is beyond me. By far more luck than judgement obviously. If there was any justice in this world he'd have come off at the first fence and the poor pony would have been spared the rest. And how many good riders have a minor blip and end up in hospital.... proof there isn't any justice! I want that pony - if only to save him from that rider!

He must have had some seriously sore baubles after that and no sence whatsoever to keep on doing it over and over ( maybe one of them weirdos that go for the whole pain thing).
But watching it again i think he is a stunt rider if you look at the 3rd jump he purposly throws his legs back to make it look worse. That my opinion anyway

The more I watch the video (morbid fascination), the more I wonder if it's some sort of bizarre Extreme Crap Riding trials?

I was actually wondering that too, because he regains his seat awfully fast each time, and his leg looks really steady between the jumps. I still don't understand why, though??

I was thinking it might have been a set up/stunt rider up until he smacked the horse for stopping.. surely they wouldn't have done that if it was for some sort of joke/set up

Indeed, that's the bit that really has me befuddled. He doesn't 'alf get his stirrups back quickly too.

But if you watch carefully apart from time he lands infront of saddle he never actually slams onto the horses back it all seems too controlled on landing

good god. That actually one of the most infuriating videos I have ever seen. Tha horse looks so uncomfortable. What an honest little chappy, and to put up with that awful wallop for no good reason...
Jesus he gets some air though....comes down with the most god awful thumps...neddy barely reacts....

very sad, I thought
