Just been speaking to a friend. She said one of her friends is suffering with depression. I asked why and she told me its because a few weeks ago a group of kids were high on drugs in her town, got into her horse's field and set him on fire. Her friend is just completely traumatised.

Pleased to know that horse survived and is recovering slowly.

Im glad the horse is ok, but i am not suprised the owner is traumatised! Id be both traumatised and livid (and possibly in prison from killing said children!)

I hope the idiots that did this are being tied to a tree and set alight themselves! Are they being prosecuted. Poor, Poor horse.

There are no words to describe people like that!!!!

I have never understood the capacity of some humans for the ability to inflict pain and suffering on others.

I don't know how the horse's owner will ever get over that experience - but I hope to God that they can.

My love and thoughts go our to your friend and her poor poor little horsie they really do...
But I swear to god Id kill the bas*****, thats made me so angry, who could do something like that!
They deserve to be tortured.
 
How horrible, hope the horse and the owner both recover mentally and physically as quickly as possible. Always amazes me how trusting a horse can still be after enduring such awful experiences.

Hope those idiots are caught and put somewhere where they obviously need to be for the safety of the rest of the population- human and otherwise.

I have no idea. I didn't ask to be honest. I was just in shock. I think it hits us equestrian peeps harder as we can really sympathise. Its not my friend - its their friend. I will find out.
 
Ah okay, its so sad though it really is but you think those people seriously have issues, horse, cow, duck...still sick!
I hope they rot.
 
that is horrendous - to set any living thing on fire... I mean - how could you ever do that? I don't understand why people think it is ok to go and randomly tourture animals?!

Me too. What makes someone do this??? God, this sickens me so much I am furious. ANYONE who harms something living should be put in prison. We should have a zero tolerence policy on things like this. However I doubt very much anything will be done.

Just awful! I can't imagine what kind of a sicko you would have to be to do this!

Hope the owner is getting medical help - she needs it, and best wishes to her and her horse for a speedy recovery.

Hope the little s**ts are caught by the police and have the book thrown at them, and that one day karma catches up with them!

When she feels up to it the owner should consider suing for damages.

Felt sick reading this. How anyone can do something like that to our proud, beautiful animals is beyond belief.
