Thoughts for Jess please.

Just back from second visit.

She is so much better than last weekend. Scoffed 3 apples and several carrots without pausing for breath!!!

The surgeon who did the op was there today and he said he is very happy with her progress and they are going to stop the antibiotics midweek and see how she goes.

Might even be able to bring her home next saturday!!!

Sending best wishes for a simple op & speedy full fast recovery from me & also from my amazing girl Jess too..xxx

Positive thought being sent your way.
I hope she recovers, easily and quickly.

My sister went through this, its tough.
But i'm hoping for a positive out come for you both.

Had call from hospital today.

Stopped the antibiotics as shes doing so well.

Going to check her again each day but if there is no sign of any infection then shes coming home saturday or sunday.

WOOOOOO HOOOOOO.

She will have a plate fitted just to keep things clean under her foot but that shouldnt stay on too long if all goes ok.

Excellent news, you'll sleep easier tonight..or not at all!Glad she's soon to be home, hope she continues to improve:-)

Latest update.

Jess came home on Saturday...Started whinnying in the lorry at 1 mile from her stable!! Amazing how they know..must be the smell..it was pitch black by the time we were home so it definitely was'nt a visual signal.

Anyway shes now on 2 months box rest with in hand walking twice a day, 5 minutes to start with working up to 30 minutes over the next 9 weeks. Shes on 1 sachet of bute per day aswell.

She has lost alot of weight but im sure she will soon build herself back up. I let her have 30 minutes of grass during each walk session.

Once again thanks for all your kind messages..i'm sure they all help immensely.

Great news, glad she is home with you :)

Been following your posts and really glad she's home safe now. Mine looked thin and bedraggled after a spell at hospital but Jess'll soon pick up with all the TLC you'll no doubt be giving her. So glad it's a good outcome for you both. Great news. :)

Really good news. Hang on in there because the hard work starts now. I have been where you are now and had moments of desperation but my boy got to spend his first night out last night and seeing him happily grazing away made all the hard work worthwhile.

Definite vibes, I put my old boy through surgery 2 years ago, I felt sick with worry but it was the best for him. Good luck.

Fingers still crossed.

When Dizz came back from the first horsepital, well I cried. Took months and good grass to get her looking like something other than a coatrack.

Hope all continues to go well.
