Thoughts on the new Rider in Balance Stirrup?

It's a no from me. They look awful, are ridiculously expensive and I can't see how they improve on the many other designs out there. I presume the free arm comes off in an emergency or if it gets caught on something .....?

I think it's dangerous to have the stirrup leather gape like that anywhere near where a foot could get caught in it. It's easy to see how a horse could buck or shy, and the riders foot could end up through that hole

one of the photos shows the arm coming off and the description says it is soft.
i would love to trial them, i find new designs interesting, but it would have to make a STELLAR difference for me to cough up that much for some bleddy stirrups :p i like my Jins and they were expensive enough!
