She had her second lot of Adequan and Hyonate yesterday. Vet told me to now treat her as normal and do everything with her I was doing before her hocks were treated last Friday.
So, today I met a friend for a hack. We've met several times before, but this is the first meeting since she'd had the Osteopath and the hock treatments.
First thing my friend noticed was how Patches was picking up and placing down her hind feet properly. Normally she seems to shuffle and slide them down along the floor. She was also very forward going and really striding out. Felt sorry for her horse as he couldn't keep up at times, which is not like Patches at all! There were only about 4 or 5 times I heard her click one of her hind feet down in walk. That's BRILLIANT going. We were out for nearly 3 1/2 hours and Patches was still full of it when I returned. No head snatching at the reins constantly (apart from to munch grass at times...baaad Patches).
All in all, I'm very impressed. It's two weeks since she was shod and there is no scuffing on her toes or shoes at all! That's unheard of!
