My horse has got dreadful thrush in her back feet. She has got very deep feet and the thrush is right in the clefts and down the side of her frogs. She has had a good trim and clean out and I have been recommended to put copper sulfate powder mixed with vaseline and put it on her feet.
The problem I have got is that her feet are so sore I can just about brush her feet out with with a very soft brush or my hands. She kicks out and moves away making it very difficult. She wont let me touch her feet in order to really get the copper sulfate vaseline paste on there.
I was wondering if copper sulfate powder can be mixed with water so I can spray it on to avoid actually having to press on the sore area?? Or if there is a good strong anti-fungal spray already made up that I can use to spray on??
