Thunderbrook, are they reliable?

Hello,

I currently feed Thunderbrook healthy herbal muesli and my horse loves it, however, I have seen an older thread about Thunderbrook being unreliable (changing best before dates, changing ingredients?!) I was wondering if I should change to a different company , maybe agrobs? Is it safe to order it online as I have no agrobs suppliers near me ? Thank you
 
I feed Healthy Herbal chaff and my horse does very well on it. No complaints here. I used to feed Agrobs chaff but kept finding stones in it and their customer service was shocking. Switched to Thunderbrook and been quite happy with their products.
 
I prefer the Agrobobs muesli but I find It hard to get hold of so buy Thunderbrook when I have to. If you can find a reliable Agrobs supplier go with that.

It sickens me to see other women happily supporting this company.
Id bet money on all women either having experienced or knowing a woman who has experienced sexual harassment , I certainly have and one of these occasions nearly ended in a sexual assault. That creep's behaviour makes me very uncomfortable and they will never make a penny out of me.
 
No idea on their reliability as I won't buy from them out of principle.

I feed Agrobs and have used their muesli before - ponies loved it. Efeed deliver and they always seem to have stock (I am lucky enough to live near so I collect). I have just switched from the weisenflakes to the alpengrun mash.

This! I am stunned people still use them!
 
I have fed Thunderbrooks for a few years. I buy from my local tack shop, I think its good quality feed but its not the only good qulaity feed out there
 
Having read what the man at the top of the company said to women online who thought they were being interviewed for a job, I would sell my horse before buying food from him and supporting his business.

And that's before you even start on his customer mismanagement skills.

Thank you everyone , does anyone know good replacements for the Thunderbrook muesli, is agrobs the best replacement ingredients wise?
 
Forgot to add that their feeds are massively over priced and sewn to be high in sugar !

Looking at the muesli ingredients, it seems to be mostly grass and linseed with some herbs. So you could feed a linseed meal with some readigrass?

I like the Allen and Page range ,.they do a feed from very low calorie requirement all the way to competition needs. I feed Fast Fibre on its own, if the horse has ample supply of hay or grass there's no need to provide a chaff, unless you or the horse wants it.
 
Agrobs is the closest though not always easy to get. I think St Hippolyt do something similar though not sure if it's any easier to get hold of.

Alot of the straight grass chaffs like readigrass are higher in sugar, naturally occurring but high nonetheless.

The Agrobs (and the Thunderbrooks) musli are based on alpine grasses so are not going to be the same profile as the UK grass used in grass chaffs.

I have to feed a chaff as my horse won't eat sloppy feeds unless I add something chewy to it. He's fussy, can drop weight and the mineral profile of the grazing means I don't want anything that's high calcium e.g alfalfa. The musli was a game changer for me getting a clean bowl.

Won't feed Thunderbrooks, even before the sexual harassment issues, they were very rude on a number of occasions.
 
I use the thunderbrooks grass cubes they are by far the nicest grass cubes however they are imported so I am trying to swop .
