Our new horse Lily!!

I've tried about 4 times to add some photos but for some reason I can only post links now not the actual photos - no idea why as i've never had a problem before so apologies for the lack of actual pictures :(

Anyway, i'm a little nervous about introducing her but here goes!

Lily has been with us now for 10 days & is settling in really well. She has such a lovely personality & temperament, it feels like she's been here forever! She is 5yrs old, 15.2/3hh & is officially my daughters 1st horse after a successful junior SJing career. Her sire is a KWPN (Wiseguy R) & dam is a tb x shire.

The daughter has only managed to ride her a couple of times so far due to her not having a saddle & us having to borrow one. My saddle fitter came & fit one for her on Sunday & she is having her teeth checked tomorrow as she is a little fussy in her mouth due to a wolf tooth. She does dish a little too but our farrier has had a look today & thinks he should be able to help that :)

She has been out SJing & dressage before but is still a little green, so the daughters plan is to bring her on nice & slowly with the eventual aim of competing BS with her :D

Heres a couple of videos of her first ride at home on her.....

Just because she's pretty...

The daughter is so excited with her new partner & cant wait for me to find a new trailer soon so they can start having some lessons together :)

I had been waiting for this:D she looks ideal, a really good type of horse to step up from the pony, lovely big canter which promises a useful jump, look forward to future updates.
We just need a decent summer now so there is actually something to do.

Aww, she is lovely, just my type of horse, and I love the name Lily for her. Your daughter looks great on her as well - a good match. Look forward to seeing some updates soon!

Aw thank you :) we think she's fab! She's a bit (well a lot!) of a change from the pony but they seem to be getting on well so far. Hopefully they have many, many years to come together so I am sure there will be updates in no time :D & Yes fingers crossed we do eventually get some decent weather to be able to do something!!

It's taken us a while to get here & we've had tons of advice & help from many members on here which both me & the daughter are extremely grateful for xxx

She is very pretty, a lovely kind face :D

Your daughter rides her beautifully, especially in the canter, lovely and still. I hope they have loads of fun together :)

She looks lovely. I hope your daughter has lots of success with her :)

Random question - What make is your saddle cloth and where is it from?

I've been waiting for this too, she looks very sweet.

She's not what i expected you'd go for as you're pony wasn't the 'ordinary' model for bs ans i thought you might go for something a bit unique again (thats such a stereotype and i hope i havent offended!) but i really like her.

Best of luck - and lots of updates please!

Just watched the vids - lovely school! She's like a big pony in her trot but has quite a big forward canter!

P.s where's your daughters gilet from?

It is a gorgeous arena, not mine I'm afraid but on a fab livery yard :) The daughter was adamant she wanted a 'proper' horse this time lol! Shes had a dun, a palomino & the coloured, all little fat cobby types & just wanted an easy to clean, not so chunky, bay for once ;)

The gilet is a Jack Wills one that she got for Xmas. It's superb quality & was a bit of a bargain as it was in their clearance stock :D xx

Yay :D She's gorgeous, and your daughter looks right on her. They'll have so much fun together- she's got a proper pony face but a horsey way of going. Perfect :D

She's got a tiny pony head lol! It's ironic really, I sent the old pony with all his stuff & it all would have fit her! The daughter thinks its great that she gets new stuff though - dad doesn't!!

We've just had the vet out to look at her teeth. He's going to take a blind wolf tooth out & give them a rasp when he comes back with his tools as he was told it was just a jab visit :( its bloomin freezing too!
