Well, my horse is now on her in-at-night winter routine, and the complaints from OH about the smelliness of the dog have begun...
My dog comes to the yard every day, and generally has the free run of the place so is usually pretty mucky by home time. She always gets a hose down, but this does not seem to be enough to get rid of the pong of horse wee.
Am I going to have to shampoo her every day, or is there another more ingenious solution out there??
I really don't want to stop her having free run of the yard as she loves it, and is normally romping around with several other doggy friends. Also, even if I stopped her from getting in any stables (difficult with 30 of the things, but maybe possible!) she would still be walking (and rolling...) in the wee that inevitably runs out under stable doors, so don't think I can simply keep her away from the offending pee. I wondered about some sort of doggy overalls, if there is such a thing??!
I'd be very grateful for any help!
