This is my Dolly. She has had a terrible problem with mites, so the feathers had to go. Her mane was always thick, but whether it was due to the mite problem or not (vet couldn't tell me), the white section of her mane got thinner and thinner, that I felt hogging and starting again was the only option. I cried when I went in with the clippers. For some reason, the right hand side of her mane is just not growing, so I have no choice but to keep her hogged for now. She is a different type to your horse, but I think it suits her.
