I have been pondering this for a while.
I have lots of grazing (it is separate from the others on the yard), and 2 14.2 mares.
i have to bring them both in everyday and my field is a long walk from the yard,
i could take on 2 full liveries (upto 14.2hh)to live alongside my mares-the aim would be to cover some of the costs of mine and my daughters horses.
the question is (and has been for a while) do I really want to be tied down doing 2 more.
I work for a family who have 2 kids eventers (and a ****** shetland-said with fondness) who i have sole responsibility for , booking everything from bedding, feed, farrier, dentist etc.
I am aware of the pitfalls as I have a few part liveries and have always worked with horses
If I go for it do I charge all in or my time plus all extra's-what do people think is a reasonable price that they would be willing to pay. (I am in essex)
of course my other option would be do a 6 day week as full livery and owner does 7th day what do people think of that idea?
