I have found a fox head and watched my little girl and pony having s lovely time together off the lead rein
but must have been magicaly watching sprog and pony bonding together Always go out with it! Only went for a 10 minute stroll but four boots, his noseband and my hi-viz vest! That's what he thinks, I was trying to get a photo of him without the dodgy clip marks!

Today i went on a hack with 3 other women on the yard, they were all on 17hh+ horses and i was just on my little 13.2hh
We were gone for about an hour and a half, it was very nice
then practiced putting pony in trailer and drove him up to his field where he pranced out thinking he was somewhere new and took off round the field
~Went to yard this morning, mucked out, then lunged Ebony. Turned her out nude again as it was a nice warm day again today. Sorted store room out, got some more hay round.Went to see Mum and Dad as mum not very well at the moment, back up yard bed back down, got Ebony in nice and muddy again has had a great time , gave her a really nice groom. Finished pulling mane, trimmed up fetlocks just got in and sat down with a Gin and Bitter lemon. Arr life not too bad on a day like today

he lunging it going really well now, I can manage to stand up for the whole session with out having to sit on the tub which is a real bonus lol, and unless she has a bit of a spack I do not loose my balance now so things are looking up there as well, she is really good at the voice commands and again along with the lessons her balance is so much better so all in all things are good. Your Dee and Ebony are a stunning pair they would look amazing together big snog on the muzzle tomorrow morning lol. Oh just been a poured another drink have been waving it at the laptop and you have not taken it so just going to have to drink that one as well, hope your dad not doing too bad, you take care Cheers !!!!!He's also got both stifles clipped and the back of his cannon clipped
It's SI (as far as we know!). Only result from nerve blocking his entire leg was 50% improvement when the SI was blocked. Nothing on xrays, was treated but hasn't come sound. Went to Rossdales, bone scan showed slight hotspots on his SI on both sides (nothing significant though), rectal ultrasound showed thickening of the middle patella ligament on his stifle on both sides but again nothing extreme. He had steroid injections to his SI and stifle and has 4 weeks box rest with 10 minute walks daily to see if he improves. He was 4/10ths lame at christmas, 2/10ths now.

Well I think it was caused by him being far too fresh and broncing on hard uneven ground a couple of weeks ago - he is on boxrest and hopefully will be right in a week or so (he is generally a hardy sort)
The thing that is annoying is that I am just recovering from a broken wrist so haven't been able to ride since the new year - am hoping nothing else happens

Having moved his majesty to more suitable accommodation - and having gone from full livery back to DIY, I spent the morning mucking out and then went for a smashing hack round the local forest where we had the most blissfully long canter
He is already much happier in his new surroundings (well they are not new as we have been on this yard before) and has settled right in.
we are also lucky to be situated on a yard with direct access to a beautiful forset and no matter how hard life gets, getting lost on horseback in that forest makes everything so much better

Teaching my 4yo niece all about looking after my ponies, She helped me muck out, groom, make feeds, lay there beds and get them in, I sent her home to my sister exhausted
