I was watching a video the other day and torties can only be female (99%) or intersex even if the cat is outwardly male as the colour is carried on the X chromosome. A male would be XXY.

I had two tortie sisters that lived to 16 and 18.

A tortoiseshell just like my Fröjdis, but yours are more black. Aww, to think it wasn't long since mine was that tiny, and now only months later, she's more or less fully grown. I'm sure you'll have your hands full (in the best possible way) for some time.

She is beautiful! Im tempted to get myself a station cat! But dont think it would be fair to leave it there for hours on its own. Would certainly keep any vermin away ?

A cat can spend most of the day asleep, and totally oblivious to your whereabouts. As long as you/someone else is there some hours every day, it could work...

Most special and important time is now. They grow so fast so get those super bonding cuddles in now. I have probably lost years to doing nothing except snuggling with my cats and I wouldn't change that for the world
