I have just bought a new pony, and I know at the moment I am too heavy for him, and the weight I need to get down to to ride him. When I do get on him, will he let me know if I am too heavy? My friend got on him last night for 10 mins, she is slighly heavier than the weight I want to be, and he seemed fine and not bothered at all, although my friend said she felt guilty on him.
So my question is, if she was too heavy, which I doubt, would we know? What signs do we look out for? He is only 4, which is one reason I won't ride him yet. I know as he gets stronger, he will be able to carry more, but he isn't a weight carrier, and I will only ride him once I'm at goal.
