I last clipped a horse of mine late february time, he's usually fully clipped but with the bad weather and him not doing as much work as he usually does I gave him a trace clip.
Now his summer coat has grown in nicely where he was clipped, but his back is still wooly and although he is actually molting it isn't coming out quickly enough for my liking and with him being grey we have white hairs EVERYWHERE!
He's out competing most weekends and does quite a bit of work this time of year - I'm wondering whether it's too late to clip him again!!?
Don't want to ruin his summer coat... I tried to get hold of some lister covercote blades, the type that leave on a bit more coat that the normal fine or medium blade but have since found out that most places have had them ordered from lister for months and aren't expecting them any time soon..
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
