On Sunday night Frankie outdid himself in his shoe pulling exploits and pulled a back shoe off in his stable - he really is very special
So he seemed OK and I carried on riding him (farrier was due today).
This morning we went out for a hack which included quite hard tracks and he seemed fine, in fact the only thing that bothered him was slippy mud - he is a wimpy TB and turns into Bambi on ice in mud.
So after a chat with my farrier decided to leave him barefoot behind and see how he goes.
He either works in the school or hacks out on a mixture of tracks and grass so I'm hoping he'll cope.
