"UPDATE ON THE BIDEFORD SHETLAND PONIES
I have just had a lovely POLITE phone call off Ins Lee Hopgood. He has informed us that they have attended the ponies with a vet and a farrier. Obviously they can't disclose a lot due to Data Protection but the ponies are being seen too properly now and he thanked me for the initial call. Mention was made of the social media video and comments etc and he has heard the conversation with Ins Wadey. Apparently this is under review (personally hope she is suspended and retrained). He wasn't in a position to comment on the FACT that she believes the feet had been trimmed in the last couple of months. They can't telll me if the poor little grey pony is still in situ but I have a sneaking suspicion she isn't since she wasn't there the other night after my initial visit so hopefully she is being cared for now. I re-iterated that we have been offered homes for these ponies and he is passing that information on. He agreed the ponies weren't in good condition and also told me he is a horse owner himself so it was just a shame that he didn't do the visit as none of this would have happened. He's also said he will give me another follow up call when and if there is anything to report.
