Towing weight?

Where are you getting the 2000kg tow limit from? Up to and including 2018, the tow limit on Evoques seems to be limited to 1800kg. So you will be right on the legal limit if so.
The people who sold me the car, the user manual, the ton bar fitter. Trust me I haven’t made it up.

I’m sure it tells you on the side of the drivers door. You should have kerb weight gross weight tyre sizes etc etc I would go with this for fact as opposed to the previous owner or user manual. If the tow bar is stamped that’s usually for the tow bar only, no necessarily the car.

100% way to know the max tow limit
Find weight plate on vehicle - usually hidden in a door frame or under bonnet - then deduct top number from second number
Now see what V5 DVLA keepers doc says under max tow limit
Both are usually the same but there are some rare exceptions

I bought it from Range Rover. And the tow bar fitter told me also. Thanks though.

And a tow car is only as good as the tyres in contact with the road. A 4x4 is not unflappable without decent tyres, this simple, and often overlooked fact, is as important as having the 4x4

Surely road tyres are fine?

Yes, but there are many standards of road tyre (my Dad has bored me over the years! ) so I had always used the cheapest tyres around, when I started towing my Dad insisted I tried high end Michelain (sp?!) and the difference was noticeable.

With these road tyres on i never got stuck in the bad snow where even the 4x4's got stuck and i was just in an estate.
