Has anyone got one, and how are they to tow with please? A friend has one for sale and I am very tempted, an online search says it has a 1500kg towing capacity. I'd just be towing one 15.3hh cob cross (around 550kg??) and I am Very Old so I have a full licence to tow with :D My only reservation is that the vehicle is an automatic, which I'm not used to, but I'm sure I can learn to cope...

ETA - oh and does anyone have a rough price for getting a tow bar fitted please?

You are going to be pushing your legal limit.
I wouldn't chance it.
If you want Mitsubishi many of the outlanders will tow 2T which would be a better option

Not sure yet - it would have to be a small one! It would probably be a small Ifor Williams (can never remember the model numbers I'm afraid)

The HB403 single weighs just under 800kg so with a horse just over 500kg the total will be about 1300kg so within the 1500 tow limit

A friend of mine had one before she got a lorry and she towed one horse in a light trailer fine. The auto gave the horse a good ride. :)
