TRAIL HUNTING CONSULTATION

There are indeed many many animal welfare issues but this issue of trail hunting needs to be sorted out its been dragging on for years and as the saying goes " Each journey starts with a single step" So yes, I would say trail hunting.
I'm glad you agree that there are many animal welfare issues. I'm actually pretty confused as to why an activity that is already legislated against and which involves very few animals is most important to you. I'm genuinely horrified that you would choose that over, for example, the ghastly and entirely unnecessary cruelty of using CO2 to kill 7-10 Million pigs a year in the UK. I think your issue with trail hunting is not to do with animal welfare.

How dare you tell me what I think!?
What a rude attitude. Yes hunting with hounds is illegal but most hunts choose to ignore that fact. Of course there are many animal welfare concerns. Just because hunting is being delt with now does not mean other welfare issues can not be brought up in the future.
What is my issue with hunting pray tell as you know me and my ethics and thoughts sp well?

But most hunts are abiding by the rules…..in the examples you posted there were two or three….
I am annoyed that as usual in the world we live in today, the few are going to make it harder for the many….and I would be pleased if people are caught and proved beyond doubt to have broken the law, then justice is carried out, as in all criminal activity…..but please don’t tar the innocent.

I don't think I have told you in any way what you think! I have just said what I think which is that animal welfare is logically not your priority because you have said that out of all issues you would prefer to focus on something that affects the welfare of very few animals in favour of things that impact on a greater number of animals. Logic would say that prioritising animal welfare should lead to action that would make the greatest impact on the greatest number of animals.

I think you have that the wrong way round sadly. I am not going round in circles with this. You have your opinion and I have mine. Lets just see what happens. What I do object to is people telling me my issue is not animal welfare.

You clearly are telling me what I think....
What people find concerning regarding animal welfare or anything in general is a personal issue.
You may not find hunting cruel I do. I also have issues with shooting for pleasure. Breeding birds not even native to this country looking after them to simply let them out to be shot, I also think factory farming is cruel.
I dislike horse racing and Greyhound racing.
Those may not concern you. One form of cruelty does not trump another. However we are not talking about all those issues we are talking about trail hunting. Do not presume to tell me why I find hunting cruel.

The biggest cruelty is animal slaughter for meat for humans full stop. I can not see that being banned can you? Huge numbers of animals killed, Halal slaughter etc etc. I also find these issues cruel but this is not the subject we are talking about.

We are talking about trail hunting here and your thinly vailed insinuations are insulting.
