Hi
Vet has prescribed two x 50g sachets a day but box suggests each 50 g sachet is a daily dose for a 500 kg horse. While my horse is probs 650kg The vet has prescribed two sachets a day. Would this be correct?

My 500kg horse had a course of 2 a day recently. He had a big wound we wanted to stay on top of. So I'd stick with what vet says.

If you are concerned then I would re-contact your vet, but I have fed 2 sachets a day before for an enormous horse. More often 1 1/2 for a large one.

My normal prescription for that drug has been 1½ sachets twice a day for 600 - 650kg horses

This is very normal to get on top of an infection. No need to worry.
