Usually the grass gives the youngest cob more than enough energy - but growth around here is non existent and he's feeling a bit flat. Weight spot on.

I've been using up his Bailey's balancer but it makes him spooky whereas I really need some focused energy. He's on a mix of soaked hay cobs and grass / sainfoin chaff otherwise. Forage plus balancer and lysine with some extra vitamin E at times.

I was planning on a small bag of oats to see whether it helps or blows his brain into orbit but there are quite a few higher energy feeds out there now so thought I'd see what others used. No mashes though - he's not a fan

That's my thought process - he's in a good amount of work and just needs a bit more oomph for those outings where I can't rely on adrenaline.

Plus I think my feed store sells it

It worked for Stella 👀 she gained weight on fresh air so I didn’t want to give her anything else but she was flat sometimes so these did the trick 👌🏻

I’m a big fan of oats, but have started to see the benefits of Topspec Turbo. They are more digestible, so you don’t need to feed as much as you would with oats, and they are correctly balanced so no fannying with adding limestone etc.
