Has anyone had their horses ashes turned into a keepsake? Any recommendations? I like the idea of a necklace or something i can have with me every day.

No. Sorry. This is just wrong.

What? Carrying a part of a loved one with you? I find your judgemental approach rather hurtful.

I am about to order a signet ring from the 'Ashes into glass' site, have received my pack - cant decide which colour though, using my beloved Dalmatian's ashes. Going for the silver ring but which colour stone to choose?

I just looked at these, i like the black on the silver.

I have had my horse 20 years and will treasure having something close to my heart every day, i do wonder how anyone can knock that?

I'm torn between blue and red. I'm also torn between silver and gold :o.

I think I am stuck between the blue and the black..... If they had a brown I would have had that as he was a liver spot. Silver easier choice for me as I have no gold. They are beautiful aren't they :)

Red was her colour and it goes nicely with the gold ring.....even though I don't usually DO gold.

But I like the silver ring and the blue stone......

Decisions.......

It only takes a small amount of the ash - so I can keep my promise to her and scatter the rest of her ashes on the beach (her favourite place) so that she'll always be with myself and the other dog on walks.

I miss her.

I'm planning on having a silver chain with black glass with my horses ashes in in from Ashes to Glass and its only going to cost £300 pounds, which I think is quite reasonable. Most of my friends think its a nice keepsake as I'd had him from a foal and he died at 21, however some male friends do think its a little odd that I want to wear my animals ashes. My answer to that is "I'm doing it for me and not anyone else". The rest of my horses ashes will be buried with me when I (eventually) die.

I was going to ask if she had a colour! My boy's was pink but only because I enjoyed making him look like a bit of a prat :)

You made me well up with that last line all on it's own.

I can remember it like it was yesterday. Hate going to St Pan Int as it brings it all back, I was on a course in London the day I got the call. Was pretty much hysterical on the train the whole way home. Not one person asked if they could help.

Would give anything to have him back, just for one night of snuggling and sniffing. We are silly.

Rest in peace to pups of a lifetime x

Edited to add, bloody bawling now. I don't DO crying.

I kept some of my boys tail- I plan on getting it made into a bracelet, but I'm not ready to let it go just yet- it will be an interesting piece though, because he was coloured and had a white tail with a black stripe down it :)

Not ashes but hair - I had a pendant from Equihearts and could not recommend them highly enough. Lovely products, caring service - a great family and initiative.

i wouldnt have normally liked this sort of thing but its very tasteful :)

I lost my horse 3 weeks ago now - im not ready to do anything with her ashes...they are in a box in my room.... i may have a pendent as she was/is very special to me and no horse can ever replace her....but only when the times right. now isnt.

But the pendant is a lovely idea
