Ekygard is probaly the most effective one out there, plenty of studies on it too.

BUT, if you dont adress management issues then you can throw £££ of supplements in and they'll just pee it out and you'll get nowhere

Assuming you’ve addressed the cause then pectin and lecithin combo has reasonable research to support it. However, you do need to feed it in rather significant quantities (tested at around 250g daily) so I’d look for one with that in highest levels post. Feedmark contains it, as do gastro kind and gastro premier.
I’ve had good results with Equisure too for the hind gut following treatment.

Sorry and how much do you feed daily? And do you feed permanently or just for a period of time? Just seen KM Aloe Vera Juice 5lt on GS Equestrain looks like a good deal at £27? Xx

I give it at times of stress as a preventative, or if a horse starts to get girthy and feed 50ml a day until the behaviour stops or the stress is resolved. In theory you can cure ulcers if you give a big enough dose but in those circumstances I would prefer to use esomeprazole. I would keep a horse on 25ml a day permanently if they needed it but none of mine have.

Jumping on this thread and also may be jumping the gun as pony is having her gastroscopy as we speak and it may be that they are improving but I've got a horrid feeling they're not.

She's had the injections and they went from grade 4 to 2 after 6 weeks and then since then has been on sucralfate and another syringe, I can't remember what it is called.

She's been on Aloe vera for the last 4ish weeks. Feed is 1/2 scoop of honeychop lite and healthy and fibre nuts split between am and pm feed with aloe vera, equimins advance complete and equimins joint supplement in the breakfast. She lives out 24/7 but grass is a bit crap atm so she has 3 large haynets every day split out so that she always has something to nibble on.

Anything else I can add/change? Been looking at forageplus yeo sacc. Equimins do it too but it's £10 more expensive for the same size tub and feeding rates. Annoying, as I'd rather just buy it all from one place.

I'm giving the Yeasty Magic a go after I emailed them and explained the feed rates. It just arrived yesterday so have yet to take it to the yard but if what they say is true, I can't wait to see what happens. I am also going to get aloe vera and see what happens with that route.
