Not all that rare whether it is right is debatable. However at least it won't breed and that is a point in its favour when despite a resetion, people are still breeding from horses just because they can.

Adorable!
I don't have an issue with breeding weird things together, so long as the baby is healthy and not...deformed.
However, I don't agree with breeding to sell.

ALTHOUGH! Woof/dogs are pets, house cat/servals are pets, so why not horse/zebra?

Looks like horse folk are jumping on the designer dog band wagon, it seems the principle is find the 2 breeds that least compliment each other, and then give them a nauseatingly cute name, charge a fortune and you're in business.

I asked a breeder of Zorses/Zonkeys what they are like temperament wise and I got they are basically zebras.

They're very stubborn and can be very dangerous when pushed to do something they don't want too. They are also highly territorial and will attack another horse if its in 'their' territry' so would have to be well away from other horses and animals at all times.

Not something I would go for and horses/zebras donkeys/zebras have been getting crossed since the early 90's and its still not come in to fashion because of the animals behaviour temperament!

*very quietly sits in the corner* I quite like it... its funny little thing and boy I bet it has some character.

Ah well I doubt very much there will be a trend and over breeding of these types, I get more angered over the over-breeding of native ponies that only end up with the meat man... or obvious breeding that wont ever work.

Being a little quirky least it will find a home with some who wants something a 'little different'.

Google tells us seller is from Eden Ostrich World which has closed for business, suspect they may have had other exotics and maybe pets corner--could this have been an accident??
A preventable accident?

when I saw the link "coloured contacts" I thought there was going to be eye contacts for horses! *dumb* that would be bad!

Can't say I would want the stripey shetland, ugly... :(

A zebra is a wild animal, that has never reached domestication levels, thats the 1st big reason not to do it.

Are there not enough domesticated animals requiring homes, without these ***** breeding hybrids that have behavioural issues and require specialist care?
