You know I remember reading somewhere that way back when the English first went to Africa they asked why the natives hadn't domesticated the zebras when we had domesticated our equids. Turns out it was because zebras bit like pitbulls, their jaws lock and they can't/ won't let go and a zebra stallion wouldn't think twice about killing a human or even another horse. Zebra stallions will bite mares flanks until they reach bone. And then they cross it with a Shetland, the pony with the biggest attitude issue. Because I'd SO love to put my child on THAT. Idiots.

A wild horse is undomesticated until it is captured and handled by humans. A zebra born in captivity is as domesticated as a horse born in captivity but each has their own temperment.

I have friends who much to my disgust bred from their daughters pony. The pony has been a nasty from the day it was born and retained the nasty attitude all its life - they now have a filly foal who is the same as its mother - bites and kicks at people and is only a couple of weeks old. People never learn sadly.

Racing Stripes was great - loved it and the Zebra in that was well mannered.

This is untrue. Domestication has nothing to do with the environment into which an animal is born. A tiger born in a zoo is not automatically domesticated.
 
If this is the one I think it is, it's from a farm park not far from me, they apparently bought a shettie mare for meat money at an auction without realising it was in foal, then found out it had been running for years with a zebra stallion and never took - hence why the mare was sold. If I remember correctly they have had alsorts of horse behaviourists to this mare as it's such a little ****, and basically they can't handle or do anything with it!!!!:D - surprise surprise!!!!:D
You'll get some numpty buy it and think they can breed stripey fuglies from it and make loads of money from idiots that think it looks cool!!!:p
As for zebras being classed as domestic purely because they have been handled is rubbish - ask my vet who has to deal with the grumpy nasty shite bags at my local zoo - the stally is nice but it is pretty rare amongst zebras to get one that you can actually do anything with. I think some rich guy as a novelty managed to get some pulling a carriage but they were very stubborn and took tons of training just to get the basics - hence why zebras are not on our list of domestic animals!!!:D
