Doing a bit of unaffiliated SJ tomorrow. It will be cobs first jumping class.........(apart from the disastrous wh a few months back but we are past that stage now :P ) cob is hogged but needs doing again.. Will clean her up so shes tidy - can i get away with wearing light jods, smart top and a gilet and long boots or do i need to get the jacket out?! we are doing clear round and maybe the 2ft6 class?

Round us, it's smart dress for unaff... I'd be definitely wearing a shirt and tie/ stock, and then take the jacket and gilet and see for yourself? But I'd be guessing it is smart.

Jacket and show shirt for me, he odd people who are casual really stand out IMO it's usually kids who are the smartest turned out.

Im 'Oop north (Sunderland) and I haven't been anywhere recently where they wear correct dress for unaff SJ- anything goes, which I think is a shame. I'd wear the good kit and take a jumper to pop on the top if you get there to find they're casual.

Good luck!

That's what I'm doing today, going smart but taking a hoody to wear just in case no one else is smart.
I spoke to the venue about it and they said they don't mind what people wear, some will be smart, some won't!

Friend seems to think casual - but thats normally evenings not a sat. Will take jacket incase and have shirt tie under my sweater - my jackets brown tweed shirt cream and tie red more showing really

Excited I have butterflys! Hoping she will be confident after he xc the other week :D

I usually wear smart jods with smart top. If its a place I go to regularly. Most wear proper stuff but some turn up scruffy as well. I would rather be comfortable. I find show jackets really uncomfortable and hate wearing things round my neck!
