I recently sold some stuff through Ebay. I have a 100% record, both as a seller and buyer. Today I got some negative feedback and am SOOOO upset!

Basically, I got a message through asking where the item was as it wasn't received. Answered politely saying that it had been posted on Monday (bought on Friday evening) If not received in the next few days then let me know and I would chase it. Got a message back saying that if it wasn't received tomorrow could they have a full refund as they wanted the item urgently and they only saved £1.... At no time was this communicated to me. And even if I had known then the best I could have done was Saturday postage. :(

I basically told her this and now she has given me negative feedback citing bad info. I have kept to all the t's and c's of Ebay. Now what?? I am about to reply to her asking her to retract her unfair feedback or report her to ebay?

Ideas guys please...

ebay will not help you. The best you can do is reply to feedback and explain the situation. This shows when people look at the negative.

Sadly there are always going to be unreasonable people, but any experienced buyer won't care about the neg if its explained.

What a witch!

You can open a dispute and have it mutually removed by ebay. Does it not give you the option to add a comment under their negative comment? ebay used to let you have your say so other potential buyers/sellers can have both points of view. Failing that, be vengful and desicrate her feedback :D

Arnie looked fab in his 500g jacket....I just need the weather to get about 10 degrees colder :)

Ahh, it's only one bit of feedback, bloody frustrating on an unblemished record, I know, but chalk it up to "Life's a bitch and goddamn unfair". I have said named file and the buggers getting pretty full now.

Thanks guys. Nope doesn't seem to have a "facility" for me to leave feedback under her feedback. :(

I thought of speaking to Ebay tomorrow. They were helpful to me last time I had a problem. I feel really upset now. I have emailed her and asked her to retract it or I will have to report her to ebay. Failing that I will be leaving very negative feedback for her - if ebay will let me. Not sure because I have never had to when I have sold stuff. :(

i managed to reply to feedback yesterday, the facility is defo there. at the bottom of the screen where it shows all your feedback, there is a link to click 'reply to feedback'

I am sure you can still respond to feedback. You can no longer give buyers negative feedback though which is sooo rubbish as I have a non-paying one at the mo.

When someone left me unfair neg feedback(previous 100% good, and traded some 8 yrs at that point), I looked at the buyers feedback left for others, and theewere unfairly leaving neutral or neg for loads of people, like it was a ploy to damage good seller's feedbac/reputation.
I then rung Ebay, and they removed it from my feedback profile- try this no 08003583229. They were actually really helpful when I explained and they could also see the buyer was unfairly jeopodising other sellers too.
Good luck.

Whew! - Just had a satisfactory phone convo with Ebay. They have looked into it and agree that the buyer was unreasonable in her requests and feedback, given the timescales involved.

They have agreed to remove the feedback completely. Question is.... what do I do about feedback for her...

Don't leave any!:D
I didnt as to only leave positive would've given a very unfair reflection of the transaction,t hen the buyer has no course for redress either. Even if you slated them, not all sellers read feedback when the headline would still remain as 100% positive. Best to leave well alone, and add them to your blocked bidder list so they won't giv eyou grief again.
