Unforecast snow!!

Started snowing 6.30am in Suffolk, caused real problems driving home to Essex at 7am from night shift, now home it's stopped and melting. What got me was the van which slid off the road into the ditch opposite the salt storage yard where the gritters are based. They were just starting to fill them, talk about bolting the door after the horse has bolted! To be fair though it wasn't forecast down here!

At least the drivers had got their!

One year when it snowed they couldn't get the smowplow out cause the driver couldn't get his car there!

Snooooow. :)

Lovely photo - It is pretty for about 30 mins or if you haven't got to go out to take care of the horses.

This area where I live - frosts but never snow!

We had a good half inch in South Bucks near Great Missenden. All gone now though and sun is out.

Due more next week though!!

Hellooooooooooo mcnaughty - I came from Amersham 26 years ago.
Is Frith Hill stables still in operation - I used to teach there and Edward Burgoine had us teaching in the thick snow. Crazy but people did turn up.

This brings a tear to the eyr as much of the landscape changed after the earthquakes - Christchurch after a night of snow - note the beautiful blue sky - I think this is what I really love about NZ - I can see the sky almost everyday and it is so very blue
