Unfortunate photo for an advert...

Blimey, can't imagine they'll sell him a that price!

He looks very immature for 6, could do with a good few months out with some decent grub by the looks of him, look how thin his neck is :(

I know :( He just looks like he needs a big cuddle and lots of TLC.

This is just so sad , I agree with above about asking so much for him , he definitely needs some TLC , i would say that the owners are inexperienced , and i know some would say i'm just being mean and i certainly don't want to appear that way but you can tell by the riders position and hands etc that she doesn't look overly confident.

It's heartbreaking , especially when it says he's laid back and good natured - I read that as .... Can be underfed , ridden badly and generally mistreated - but hey , he'll take all the s**t you can throw at him , and he wont fight back..I'd have him like a shot if i had 2k to blow.

  poor boy :( They say he has good flat work then put that as a photo  Its times like this that I wish I had my own land and lots of money so I could take him home and get him back to form. Did any one else read good natured as has no energy to fight back as he hasnt been fed for ages?

God he is a state!
Poor thing

But they obs got the matchy matchy note.

Just missed out on the other ones, such as feed, and a good fitting saddle

I have a spare stable, am experienced enough for that, and lots of TLC to offer. I'm also close enough.......but £2k?????? No way!!!

Why not offer what you think he's worth and leave the offer on the table? I bet they can't afford to keep him (obvious from sad picture) so if they've any sense they would bite your hand off. I can't believe he would pass a vetting.

If I had the space I'd give him a home, poor little chap.

Cos looking at that photo, I don't think he's worth more than £200. And I don't think they're going to accept that. If that went through the sales it would end up with the meat man....

Do I laugh or cry!?! I just hope this is camera trickery as it looks like a really bad photo I hope..it has bendy front feet. Did it get sold? Not a good pic at all(which I hope it is)?

Worth a try?

Ok, well I've e-mailed them as the ad is on Horsemart as well asking how long they've had him, how he's bred, why they're selling and whether he has been out and done anything. What I really should be doing is waiting til Spring and then looking for a MARE!!!! I want a mare really!!!

I'd have him like a shot, but he's too far away and like others have said, I wouldn't want to pay more than a couple of hundred with him in his present condition.

Do keep us posted Holly Hocks on how it goes and whether you receive a reply. Poor boy :(

Yep.
Poor chap. I hope someone knowledgable takes a punt on him.

But sadly doubtful at the price the owners are expecting. They need to drop a nought off the price and just try to find him a good home before winter really sets in. Really got my fingers crossed for him.

I know what you mean. My friend is looking for something with that budget. If I sent her that link she'd run away screaming.
They really need to be realistic, as you say, to get shut before winter. If he looks like that now....

Looks like a suspensory problem to me. I personally wouldn't touch that horse with a barge pole not for any money. The conformation is atrocious!

Yep - I thought suspensory when I looked at the photo again as well....already got one with that problem - don't want another! I just feel so sorry for it.

"Good conformation and on the flat, focusing on schooling at present"

Really?

Definately needs to focus on the schooling.

You could of course always put it down to a bad photo angle but I'm just trying to be nice  He might be 100% better looking and not have such a weired neck when you see him in the flesh but I doubt it. :(

Owners having a laugh if they want £2k for this poor boy.

I feel so sorry for it I called them- to see if they actually knew anything about horses, and to see how 'flexible' they were on price. I wouldnt pay more than £400 for it but I thought it would be a shot.... but no one answering and no answerphone option....
