So this is the reply I received over the weekend. How on earth could she see aluminum floor when it is so blatantly wooden? Also she was only offered more money because it was being sold as having an ali floor and i expect thats why she had so much interest on it from eBay.
Dear Stacie,
I was totally shocked by your email reporting the problems you have found with the trailer. The trailer was sold to you in good faith and without knowing about the problems you have indicated below. I lifted the rubber mats to check the floor and saw aluminium not wood so thought no more of it. I didnt get a mechanic to check it over just before selling it to you so this is why I stated sold as seen on the receipt.
I can assure you that it was never my intention to rip anyone off and I consider that given the level of interest people on e-bay were showing in the trailer and that I had been offered more money than you paid for it which I had turned down because I had agreed to give you first refusal, I do not think you have been ripped off. As I stated in the advertisement the trailer has never let me down while I have owned it and I would not hesitate to buy another Ifor Williams trailer again if I were ever in the market for one.
I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you and while part of me feels that I should ask for the trailer back and return your money to you, I consider that I have acted in good faith and could have held out for more money but to help you, I moved quickly on the sale.
Now what should i do?
