In my thoughts today hun. Please remember you are showing the compassion and responsibilty this horse needs. hugs x x x
i need them. i actually feel sick.
feel like ive failed him somehow. not rational i know.
You are doing the right thing and being a responsible horse owner. When the time comes, I think you will feel real relief that he is not going to be passed on to somebody else, and go through the whole cycle again. I made the decision some years ago, to put down a 5 year old, who wasn't as bad as yours, but, through bad handling, had no self preservation, and would go through anything in a flight reflex. I COULD have sold him at a market to get back some of my money, but couldn't put him or anybody who might buy him through that trauma. Hope all goes well.i need them. i actually feel sick.
