About a month ago prompted by the now infamous 'Fat Riders' thread, I posted a question asking for help with a training schedule to get me fitter. In and amongst some great advice, LEC told me about the weight loss resources online programme. I had a look, signed up and today I'm now 1stone and 1 pound lighter:D! Thank you LEC! It's brilliant. It's essentially just good old fashioned calorie counting. I've not once felt like I was on a diet and have had a biscuit (or 2) nearly every day and the odd chip as well!It doesn't half make you realise how much calories are in some foods. Still got quite a way to go and although the exercise hasn't amounted to much more than walking to and from work, in the words of Tesco - every little helps:p!

Absolutely nothing to do with competition riders, horses or much else for that matter, just wanted to say thanks!!

Wow that's a brilliant achievement - well done you! :D

Have you reached your target now or are you sticking with it for longer?

Sadly no I haven't reached my target - got quite a way to go for that really! My initial target was 1/2 stone by end Nov, and another half by Christmas. Going to attempt another 6lb by Christmas to make it the stone and a half.

Really well done, I did Weightwatchers years ago (I lost 44lbs) and I have to say that the principles stick forever. I now keep an eye on what I eat and if I eat too much and exercise too little I can give a little kick up the bum.
I think the important thing is to find something that works for you.
Keep it up xx

I just signed up thanks - was shocked when i started typing all that I had eaten today - will def think more carefully tomorrow!

fab website! agree you realised how much youve eaten when you write it all down.. excited to see how quickly i can reach my target now :) :)

It is a brilliant site. Best of all you can have a bad day and still be on track for the rest of the week. I do really like it.

Well done to all of you that have lost weight - just recently made a determined effort to reduce my dimensions - I'm now going to the gym daily and loving it. It doesn't sound much but I now walk on the treadmill for 2km & ½km on the cross trainer. I am already feeling so much better.

Thank you for the link :D

Just signed up for the 24 hour trial :). I was losing weight/getting fitter okay, until I broke my back at the end of July :(. It's been a bit tough since then, but has been going (oh so slowly at .5 pound a week!). I find walking helps, but not if I go mad and do lots - just two half hour walks a day at a reasonable pace seems to have the most effect.

Going to go and have a bath and work out an eating plan :D. I get faint/dizzy, etc., if I don't eat every two hours, which makes it all very boring (yup, I get bored of eating).

I've been tracking what I eat on my phone, which I will put onto a spreadsheet to see if I can spot a trend in eating/exercise/weight.

ETA: Just put in the exercise I did yesterda, to see what it was 'worth'; had to take it off again (as it's not today's exercsie) - quite a psychological jolt seeing it in black and white what difference it makes! If it's down in black and white and effectively out side of my control, i.e. I can't fudge it in any way, it's a bit of an eye opener... To think that back in the old days I could eat what I liked and was a stick insect, but I did a lot of exercise. Funny how Life changes.

I have just signed up for the trial...I have consumed a fairly scary amount of calories today without even realising.

It is great. Very easy and I think I will give it a go at £7.99 a month.

I would like to loose 2 stone. I lost 2 stone between April and August, and have since maintained. If I could get on the road to loosing another 2 stone I would be sooo pleased.

Well done! I 'only' need to lose a stone but you have inspired me to have a look at this website. Unfortunately I hate the whole thought of Weight watchers etc so hopefully can self regulate (have done it before but in summer when so much easier as exercising horses)Unfortunately in the current freeze I have turned into couch potato (between mucking out, lugging feed and haylage, filling water buckets because automatic water feeders have frozen etc). You'd think all that would help but no!
