update on horse

saw my vet today and she really liked the chestnut Tb i saw the other day, she said the pasterns were fine and didnt worry her, he had flat feet but would just need a careful farrier and that she really liked the way he was put together, so going to go and ride him again on saturday to make sure, but in the mean time found this little chap...

he is 16hh, 7yrs tb, not done much but lots of talent, off to see him tomorrow, but just thought i would see how everyone thought he compared to the chestnut Tb...

Personally I prefer the chesnut.

Once well looked after, toned up and put on some good condition he would look very striking.

i do have a bit of a thing for greys

he is a really nice type, and showed my lovely vet pic of him too and she thought he was worth seeing, after Rio she is making me be ultra careful

thought as im not seeing the chestnut again till saturday i might as well look at another before hand that way i can be sure when i ride him he is the one,

ETS: also the owner of the grey actually rang me as she knew i was looking, and she wants alot more than i can afford but is willing to accept less if i have him
 
thanks guys, lets hope he lives up to his looks! she said he schooling nicely but his jumping was still green, although she said he has a lovely loose jump, and had done some grids, will try and get some good pics of him tomorrow

ETS: have to remember poor old chestnut has only just been rebacked, very scruffy and needs lots of tlc bless him so not the best picture for comparison
 
Me too. I really like the grey. You'll hate keeping the tail clean, but he just looks a more quality horse.

Not that I'd refuse either if they were offered to me for free!

In all seriousness, I think the chestnut could be a nice horse when he's filled out. I still don't think he'll match the flashiness of the grey though. He's a seriously stunning horse!

Good luck trying him. I'm sure you won't be disappointed whichever you end up with.
 
I prefer the grey too but I don't know if its because he looks all polished up whereas the chesnut looks a bit rough round the edges. I think if the chesnut was standing up tall, had been groomed til he shon and have his mane brushed he would look a lot better. A shiny chesnut looks beautiful.

Hard decision to make though

The grey has much better condition about him now but I think with Madhectors touch and some good old elbow grease that the chesnut could be a stunner.
