but trainer was there as a witness.

He was an absolute saint. We put him on the lunge very briefly to first gauge the mood and then i got on, still on the lunge for a couple of minutes, walked and trotted no prob's.

Then had a few more minutes off the lunge, walked, trotted and cantered both reins a couple of times, again he was positively angelic even when the YO's new puppy was chasing the chickens round the yard, bringing horses in/out. All he does is stop and have a look at them

I can't believe how good he's been, must be shell shock or maybe I've just got myself a really nice, uncomplicated horse can I really be that lucky?

Ooh! Just came on to see if you'd updated

Glad it's all been so textbook for you, actually I'm really thrilled!

It's really nice hearing how well the HHOers with new ponios are getting on - you, AmyMay and Puppy spring to mind

Oh good news you must be really pleased its so nerve wraking first few times on a new one.

But it must be in the air, collected my newbie on Sat, had little ride and not spooky at all, hack out sun fine and hes just got better and better, hes a belgium sport horse who's mainly been hacking for a couple of years so schooling very rusty, but hes really really tried and today managed a couple of lengthens and shortens in canter without falling into trot in a big heap.

Its hard for me to do a just a little bit with him but hes unfit and all that bending and work must be hard, got to force myself on a little hack tomorrow so it stays fun for him.

Keep us posted, and FinellaGlen too
