Hello everyone - this, I hope, will be the end of all these court hearings. Paul Chequer of Chequer cabs, Bridgwater, appeared at Taunton magistrates court yesterday, to appeal against his 3 month taxi driving suspension. I was there all day, as the time was changed due to various reasons. Neither the rider, nor myself were required in court, but we were both supported by the taxi licensing board representative and the barrister.
The outcome is that his 3 month taxi driving suspension, plus having re-take his taxi driving test, have been upheld. (I wouldn't expect any less). So his appeal was thrown out and he has to pay all the court costs.
Now I really, really hope this is an end to it all.
So remember that name, everyone who lives and travels to Bridgwater. You know which taxi company to avoid. And thanks to everyone who's been following this and sending me kind messages.
