Hello everyone - this, I hope, will be the end of all these court hearings. Paul Chequer of Chequer cabs, Bridgwater, appeared at Taunton magistrates court yesterday, to appeal against his 3 month taxi driving suspension. I was there all day, as the time was changed due to various reasons. Neither the rider, nor myself were required in court, but we were both supported by the taxi licensing board representative and the barrister.
The outcome is that his 3 month taxi driving suspension, plus having re-take his taxi driving test, have been upheld. (I wouldn't expect any less). So his appeal was thrown out and he has to pay all the court costs.
Now I really, really hope this is an end to it all.

So remember that name, everyone who lives and travels to Bridgwater. You know which taxi company to avoid. And thanks to everyone who's been following this and sending me kind messages.

I'm glad his appeal was thrown out and hope this is the end and you can start getting on with your life now.
xx I can only imagine how traumatic this has been and I remember the Original post you put up.

Was waiting to hear this, I am pleased that they upheld the ban, I know that is no where near enough for what this so called human being has done. My thoughts are with you all and I hope that slowly now you might be able to move on, take care x

I've been following your posts for a while, I can't imagine the heartbreak you must suffer, even now.
I was in Bridgwater for an interview at a stables, which one are you at, if you don't mind me asking?
*hugs* I can't believe how lightly people get off for doing such things!

Thankyou everyone. As for your question, Nah, I'm lucky enough to have my own little yard, one acre plus a couple of stables just a short walk away.
