URGENT Loose horse on the motorway!!!

Well done to your husband. Its a sad sign of the times isn't it when no-one wants to "get involved" and are always in far too much of a hurry to get anywhere to even slow down.
As a slight aside, I used to keep my very first pony at a riding school in Carrington, used to ride out alone over Carrington Moss when I was about 10

Was it on the Carrington Spur from Sale to the M60? I've had to stop and catch loose horses and ponies on the Carrington Road section on several times on my way to work. Without exception they have all been owned by the gypsies there. I heard that the last one I secured on land by the Man City training ground was hit by a car a few weeks later and broke its leg. The vet put it down on the side of the road and apparently the body stayed under a rug for days because no-one would dispose of it. It was only a baby, I'd guess about 2 and totally unhandled. Each time, I've been lucky and another horsey person has pulled over to help, but you are right, most drivers just carry on regardless without even slowing down. They probably think the animal is mine, although why they think I'm running up and down the road in wellies and my office clothes I don't know!

He did say the 'owner' looked like a gyppo, so I suspect that is the area and it obviously happens frequently from what fatpiggy has said. How sad
