I love Mia/Maia or Margo, or Gemini for her. Whatever she ends up being named, she’s an absolute beauty.

Mia
Maia
Mieke
Maili (Pronouned May-Lee)

Love Maisie but had a dog called Maisie.

A friend is urging Margot but not sure. As in Fonteyn! Dancing horse.
Urgh this is hard!

Any feedback- good or bad - on any of those gratefukly received.

Plus @AthenesOwl & @Welly Boot we need more details on the other non-horses that defintely haven't been bought this week. ;):D

The non-horse that I’m definitely not buying (pending the not already booked vetting on Monday) is a gorgeous 17hh-ish bay ISH gelding. He’s 18, is a chilled out dude and although I tried really hard not to want to buy him, he was too lovely. I’m trying not to get too excited until after the vetting, but it’s very hard not to.

She is beautiful, but I agree: the current barn name has got to go. I like Mia and Gem.

So lucky, getting her started with Joe. I went through a whole thing in my head (mainly) a couple months ago when I saw him advertising a 30-day training space. Obviously not for backing, but I thought 30 days of Joe doing hackamore stuff with Hermosa would be amazing. Except she'd be away for a month, which I wasn't crazy about, and I couldn't really justify the ££££££££££ because she's actually fine. Not brilliant ('cause I don't know what the f8ck I'm doing), but competently fine. OH pointed out that his mum lives about half an hour away from Joe's barn, so I could go with her and stay for the month. Solves the first problem, but not the second. And I'm not sure that they want owners around for these sorts of things. I obviously wussed out, but if he was only an hour or two away, I might have thought harder.

It;s a great name for a kid's pony and I am sure suited her beautifully when she was a fluffy foal/gawky yearling... The family 2 year old named her (which makes sense!) and the name stuck - which also makes sense. But I think is sounds more like a nickname - think Squidge or Podge or Bunny for kids actually called Eleanor, Caroline or Elizabeth! Fine when young, but not a name to keep forever. She needs her proper grown up name now she's almost a proper grown up horse!

Anyway, I have narrowed it down to:

Maia
Mia
Mila
Myka
Gem.

Maybe I'll do a poll?
