V-bandz lies about being BETA member

I smell a rat! From someone who, looking at their previous(and only!!) posts is so pro the 'polite' range, hmmmm!

The following is on V-bandz facebook page...

CE-certification is compulsory for all rider high visibility wear - if the item doesn't comply - DON'T BUY! . We are part of the BETA CE Certification Scheme for high visibility. Look for garments with this logo on the product or packaging. These products have been accepted by BETA as fully independently certified products

i am not a member of any company nor do i have any connects, but i simply own a v-bandz waistcoat and various other items of their chequered range i bought it because i thought it goes towards quality and safety standards , Im just stating facts like other people have been doing with all the high viz forums going on.

So why are all your posts connected to, and positively endorsing Equisafety - to the detriment of V-bands in this case. I smell something, and I believe it's brown and furry - with teeth.
 
But Jetman your only posts on this forum have been to support the Polite range and you wrote this.....

...i didn't realize that v-bandz sold the polite range as well ? i thought they did a look a like version called the PLEASE cheqeuered range but i dont think ive seen their police approval like the equisafety statement maybe thats why they are offering refunds

does it really matter as the documentary was proved correct??

I am not a supporter of V Bandz, but at least they are taking action and recalling all of their chequered products, rather than burying their heads in the sand like Equisafety.

Exactly what I was wondering. BETA and non-BETA members sell exactly the same products, be they Certified, good quality or not.

Many many HHO members buy hi-viz etc products that are almost pointless, but were cheap.

Correct as in the documentary makers were correct in what they reported.

I watched the documentary when it was first was shown and as my memory recalls I think it was the reflective strips on their jackets were not to the standard that the labels shown inside said they were.

I expect Equisafety just adjusted the materials they used. Without googling I couldn't tell you and tbh I don't care enough to do that!
 
I`ve never been a fan of the 'Polite' range as I feel trying to fool drivers into slowing down could be antagonistic.

Personally I have always used V-bandz and find it highly effective.

Have you ever heard the saying............"You can`t make your own candle burn brighter(or in this case hi-viz!!) by blowing someone elses out!!
 
Well right now I wish I'd bought from V-Bandz not the other company mentioned regularly by OP. V-B are recalling all products and will cover the chequering, I asked E on FB if they would be doing something similar and they basically said there was no need to and they would not. I'm no longer wearing my E hi-viz but using alternatives and am tempted to send it back to them in protest, not that it would get me anywhere!

Ahhhh! A Day of Protest. Yes lets do it. Perhaps we could all don our horses & selves out in the "forbidden" Polite gear, and organise a protest ride somewhere.......... doing a cumulative Fingers Up to the company we won't mention, plus anyone else who cares to take offence!! :)

Go away Jetman, do you think we're daft ? Get back to your day job for the increasingly desperate Polite fake Police Hi Viz range.

V-bandz are in a different league for quality hi viz products and responsibility to their customers. Polite products are shabby in comparison.
