Er, I'm sure it's your phone that's to blame but I'd like to see the detailAre you criticising my photography skills!?
Ah excellent, that's more like it
That was my next questionThere a story behind this one, anyone want to guess the story? You don't win the leaf if you get it right, though
How old is leafy?
And how much does leafy weigh?
I love it.
Can you make out any more of the hallmark? I'm assuming no maker's name? It's a lovely quality piece that. But no safety chain and (possibly no maker's mark) ... I'd put it at 1950s but it could be more modern than that.I don't know how old leafy is, I bought it from an independent jeweller in 2002, second hand with no box. I did not buy it for me, I only wear white gold and silver. And yet I own it. Another part of the story!
Melted down, that's quite a lot of moneyWell what a good question. Leafy weighs almost exactly ⅓ of an once.
That was why I wondered if we were going on the 2002 price as gold price has changed a lot.Well the spot price for 1oz of gold is just over £2000, so as a minimum 1/3oz is around £660. If its a well known maker then it's probably worth more
