Value my stock pin competition - a bit of fun.

There a story behind this one, anyone want to guess the story? You don't win the leaf if you get it right, though 🤣

Here goes, you bought it as a christmas present for someone but decided you didnt like them enough anymore so kept it. It cost you £150

Its lovely, so perhaps keep it for my christmas present ?

I don't know how old leafy is, I bought it from an independent jeweller in 2002, second hand with no box. I did not buy it for me, I only wear white gold and silver. And yet I own it. Another part of the story!
Can you make out any more of the hallmark? I'm assuming no maker's name? It's a lovely quality piece that. But no safety chain and (possibly no maker's mark) ... I'd put it at 1950s but it could be more modern than that.

Well the spot price for 1oz of gold is just over £2000, so as a minimum 1/3oz is around £660. If its a well known maker then it's probably worth more

I have seen real leaves coated in gold so I'm assuming this may be one? If it is then there will be far less gold than if it were solid so I will guess at £65 as the gold would have to be very thin to preserve the detail.
