Very personal question :)

Twenty odd stone

Two 11hh ponies

But needless to say I dont ride. I suppose I could wear one on each foot like rollerskates though!

(though one day I will be tempted to register on a strange forum and say I do ride them, just for a laugh you understand :P)

:D:D:D - This cracked me up

I'm 5ft 6ish, weigh 10 1/2 stone and ride a 14.2 Cob x tank

I'm 5ft 6 and 11 1/2 stone, I ride a 14 3 haflinger who has no snags carrying me, I plan to back my 14 3 welshie at the end of the summer but not until I've lost another stone. I just wouldn't feel right about being my current weight and expecting a young horse to take me as his first ride - I am at present, doing a fab job of resisting bad stuff, not easy when you work as a catering manager and are surrounded by food all day. September is looking good :D

5'6 and about 9 6 Going on hols (first proper in about 7 years!) next week so could be 10 6 by the time I get back :(. Ride 16.2 tbh/ID

I'm also about 14.5 stone and 5'10ish, my horse is a 15hh haflinger so a good weight carrier, hoping to lose more as I ride more and try to put my all into poo picking, walking in hand and other such things as want to lose a stone at least! 13st is a bare minimum for me though, sigh... A bare minimum seems so far away!

I'm 5'6 and weigh between 10.5-11 stone.

I own a 14hh 'workmanlike' New Forest - he's never struggled to carry me, but as he's short backed I'm grateful I can fit my small bum into a 16/16.5 saddle :D

I'm 5'4" and weigh 10.5 stone I ride a 14 year old, 15.3 TBxShire who I am in the process of fittening up. She had no problem carrying me at 11.5 stone after I finished uni (to many beers :o )
She also carries my dad who's probably about 12.5/13stone and had no problem carting him off up the field when she felt like it :p

I'm 5'5-6" and weigh about 9 1/2 stone, although I haven't checked in a while. I ride a 16hh, 6 y/o WB x TB, who is fairly lightweight. I look fine on him (people say I look small, even though I have fairly long legs) and I don't think he has any problems with carrying me.

Im just under 6ft and weigh approx 15st. I ride a 16.2hh IDx and a 15.2hh super heavyweight Breton. I also have a young ISH. My aim is to get back to about 12st as I look daft weighing anything less.

I am 5ft 10 and a half, weigh 11.5 stone, mostly legs i must add :p.. But my horse is 15.0hh and she's a thoroughbred and she has never seemed to struggle with my weight although I do sometimes worry I am too heavy for her!

Just over 5'8 and almost 10.5st so tall and slim (size 10-12).

I have 14.2 cob who's Im a bit tall on (but not too heavy) and a rising 3yr old 16hh ISH who's going to be fairly chunky boy and will grow another couple of inches at least. I've sat on him a couple of times and he feels a good size.

5'10 and currently just over 12 stone though I should be a stone lighter (and I WILL be by the wedding, grrr).

16hh Cleveland Bay, 16.1 TB (light build) and 17hh warmblood. I do worry about legs on the CB, I have 34" legs but it looks ok when I've checked our reflection - I just get paranoid!

I'm 5'7, hover around the 10.5 stone mark and ride a 15.1 Arab. Occasionally ride my friend/yardmate's 15.2 l/w ex-racer and her 16. WB mare, and have a rising 4yo Andalusian filly who I've sat on a couple of times bareback and who is due to be started properly later this year. She should make 15.3-16h.

I'm 6'1" (and a little bit more) but no idea how much I weigh, probably around the 12 stone mark. I have a 16.2 TB and a 17hh ISH, both carry me fine. I have also ridden a 14.2hh NF who also manages me without any issues.

Im 5ft5 and normally when not pregnant weigh 7st13. My horse is a 16.1 lightweight TB. My horse before that was a 15.1hh TB and the one
before that 15.3hh PBA.
I like riding lightweight fine boned horses.

I'm 5'7 and weigh 13.5 stone normally weigh 13 but have put half a stone on in the three weeks my horse has had off! I own a 18hh Hanoverian who I ride six days a week and 16.2 Dutch warmblood who is semi retired and just goes out as and when

5yo 15.3hh Standardbred, I'm 5'11'' and 13 stone. Had planned to lose half a stone ready for the summer but the more muscular I become, the heavier I seem to get :(

Big Ears has no problem bombing around with me though!

Muscle eats calories, so more muscle = more chocolate you can eat!

Seriously muscle is easier for any horse to carry - fat wobbles and bounces meaning more gravitional force and is harder to balance.

for anyone looking to loose weight / get fit try "burn fat, feed muscle" - google tom venturo (or somthing like that). Works a treat with no faddy diets. Stuff weitghwatchers - win a trip to exotic places with weight loss competitions! now thats motivation :)
