I have just got back from my hospital appointment and I am gutted. I weigh 14.5 stone :eek::eek:

My 3 year old mare is only 14.1, I wasn't going to do anything with her till next summer, bloody good job isnt it.

What do your height and weigh? What type of horse do you have?

5yo 15.3hh Standardbred, I'm 5'11'' and 13 stone. Had planned to lose half a stone ready for the summer but the more muscular I become, the heavier I seem to get :(

Big Ears has no problem bombing around with me though!

I'm 5ft 3 and I was 13 stone, then recently I had an awful stomach bug and I lost a stone in 4 days and i'm determined to keep it off :) . I ride a 16.1 tb x. to be fair if you ride regularly and carry your weight well and have good balance/core muscles, it has less of an effect on the horse than a beginner rider of the same weight.

I have a 13.2hh Haflinger. I am currently just over 10 and a half stone which is heavy for me. I am 5ft 3 tall. Pony carry's me with ease although I cringe at pictures of me on him as my thighs look massive!

I'm 5ft 9 and weigh 9 stone.
Don't have a horse (yet) but just thought i'd add my comment so you didn't feel like people were reading and running x

I'm 10st 3lbs, 5'7 and Phil is a 15.2hh welsh cob (8.5" of bone, weighs 550kg). But he has SI issues so I wouldn't put more than 12st on him to school tbh.

Current ride is a very LW green-novice 16.1 & I currently weigh 11.3 in full winter riding gear (inc boots, hat, body protector, wintercoat & gloves etc)

So apart from being unfit (both of us) I'm around the same as usual.

This time last year was happily carreering around on a 15hh (with being me same weight then) :)

I ride a 15.2hh very fine and fit sports horse and a 14.2hh chunky 4yo Connemara. I'm 5"5ft and 8.5-9st (I fluctuate- at the moment I have a lot of excess dissertation fat so I'm at the 9st end, hoping to get fit again when I have more free time!).

Twenty odd stone

Two 11hh ponies

But needless to say I dont ride. I suppose I could wear one on each foot like rollerskates though!

(though one day I will be tempted to register on a strange forum and say I do ride them, just for a laugh you understand :P)

I'm 5'3 and weigh 8st8 currently riding a 15hh TB but my new loan pony is 14.2hh Arab. My friend is 5'5 and weighs 14st, she also rides the 15hh TB sometimes and also her 16hh TB.

Oh well looks like I'm the winner of the fattest rider :D

I will try and lose weight just cant see me getting to less than 13 stone, hopefully Anni (cob) may have grown 2inches and filled out by next summer, I do believe they don't stop growing till around 5/6. Wishful thinking love her to be 15hh fully grown

I'm 5'5" and weight is 11 stone I ride a 14.1HH cob, I used to be 13 stone 3 but have have lost a bit :)

I'm not the smallest person build wise and have been told (by a doctor) not to get below 10.5 stone. So that is what I'm working to :)

I'm 5'6 and weigh 8.5 stone, i ride a 16.2 tb, and a 14hh native pony, but am concerned i may squish my 15hh very LW tb filly when i re-start her this year (raced as a 2yr old, is now 4)!:) :o

Errmmmmm............ can't remember the last time I stood on a set of scales but am 5'5 and have always been around the 8st mark, horse is a lanky 16.1 lightweight tb.

5'10 & usually around 8'11, does fluctuate downwards sometimes. Ride my full up 14.2 connie x tb still, who's nearly 24 but doesn't look it.

I'm 5'7" and currently weight around 10.5 stone but am trying to get back down to 9.5 for eventing. I ride a 16.1hh WB.

10st 7lb and 5'7"

Got 22 yo heavy weight cob who is 15hh and has cushings

Plus a 5 yo light weight cob who is 15.1-2ish (he seems to be still growing!)
