Very personal question :)

I'm 5 foot 11, I weigh 10 stone 6 at the moment - plan to get down to around the 10 stone mark. I ride a 16.3hh lightweight TBxWB and a 15.2hh TB (although look a bit silly on her).

5'7 and a bit, 11stone 6lb and ride a 9 yo 16hh ISH who copes fine, used to ride a 14.2 Arab x Welsh, who also coped fine!

5'10, currently weigh 10.7 but would like to be down to 10 in a few weeks.

I share a HW 15.1 cob and also regularly ride a 14.2 sports pony. Sometimes hop in 16.2 warmblood too.... I don't think any struggle but I don't feel sorry for pony sometimes...

I'm around 5'6" - 5'7", never weigh myself but had annual review at the docs last week and clocked in at 65kg clothed (tho I did take my muck boots off :p)

Currently riding 14.3 welsh d cross, he's around the 460kg mark according to weigh tape, and seems to carry me quite happily :)

wow! is there any other type of forum where we would all be discussing our weight so honestly!?

I am SOOOOOOO jealous of those of you with weight in single figures. Sigh! I said goodbye to that aged 11.

more seriously, I am 5'8 and fluctuate wildly between 11.5 and 13.5 stone (in the middle right now). I have just found that I have caused my very stocky, 15.1hh cob mare back troubles because of my weight on a forward cut saddle :-(. Apparently I need to ride her in a dressage saddle.

so OP, pay attention to the shape / style of the saddle you use, as it will (I am told) affect the impact you have on your horse.

Be interested if anyone has a different view.....

my boy is 12.3hh and i am 5'3 and 6 stone 11.. :( i hate my weight.. wish i was more 7. 1/2.. been trying to put weight on for 3 yrs.. its not happening..

I'm 5'4", 10st 7lbs, size 12 and more muscle than fat (still very active and used to be a pro jetski racer), my boy is a vanner cob, 16HH (still growing as he's 4, will probably make 16'3) and weighs 680kg

It's how you 'carry' your weight that will be more important, like others have said, a competent rider with a bit of padding is better than a lighter sack of spuds ;)

I'm 5ft 7ins, weight in at 10 st and ride a 14.2 highland who's built like a tank and probably doesn't even know I'm there most of the time .... Or at least that's how he behaves when I'm riding him ..... !!!
