Took my baby horse to his first ridden competition - 'green horse' prelim test. We scored 67% and if I'd been more acurate in the test it could well have been a point or 2 higher. Not to worry, I was very pleased with him
Now the bit that annoyed me was that it was a green horse class, for neds that have not won a prelim or been placed in a Novice test. I know there were people riding horses in that class that are not 'green'. The horse that won is 14 years old and is shown at county level. I supposed technically it might not have won a dressage test before, but its an experienced mare. Why not be honourable and compete in the 'open' prelim class and leave the green class to the babies.
I was assumed to see the awful woman who was thrown off our yard after only a week for being, well quite frankly, a complete cow, was last. Dispite the fact that she made such a big thing about how good she was and that her looney horse had competed in Burleghy Young Event Horses classes, blah blah. There is a god after all.
